RUGBY WORLD CUP™ PROUD HOST

Yasuda-Gami

The origin of Yasuda paper goes back to the beginning of the Edo period.
To make the most use of Kozo (paper mulberry) which grew naturally in abundance in Shimizu town, local people brought back the paper filtering technique from Yoshino and established the craft.

The main products used to be the paper for umbrellas or round fans, but presently various kinds of products are being made such as name cards, envelopes, calligraphy papers and Japanese paper dolls.
