Wine requires grapes grown in a warm mild climate.
The grapes to make tasty wine require average annual temperature to be between 10 to 20 degrees centigrade, with plenty of sunlight in the Summer, meaning a location between lat.
30 to 50 degrees north, or lat.
30 to 40 degrees south.
The dirt also must have good drainage, enabling it to avoid excess precipitation and humidity.
In Kansai area, Habikino and Kashiwara, both in minami Kawachi area (South eastern Osaka area) as well as western Kobe's Oshibedani, Kyoto's Tanbacho produces distinctive wines.
