Yamazaki, the birthplace of one of the World's top five whiskey, lies on the foot of Tennozan Mountain just between Kyoto and Osaka Prefecture where Water is abundant from the Yamazaki Valley.
The founder of Suntory, Torii Shinjiro started brewing in Yamazaki in 1923 with the ambition to make "Japan's own whiskey.
" In 1929, malt from barley was processed, fermented and distilled.
After aging in white oak, was the beginning of Japanese Whiskey, "Shiro Fuda.
" Ever since, the brewery continues to make the finest malt Whiskey, allowing it to age in the barrel for a long time.
