Unpei-Fude
Unpei-Fude was patronized by the Imperial Court from the start.
Unpei-Fude has retained the nearly 400 year-old method of Maki-Fude, in which the core of the brush is made by rolling up and tightening various animal hair, including that of weasels, badgers and deer, with Japanese paper, adding more hair for the outer part and tightening it with hemp thread.
